October 29th is World Stroke Day
Launched in 2006 by the World Stroke Organization to:
- Educate people about how to prevent strokes.
- Raise public awareness of the issue.
„Minutes can safe life“
When someone suffers a stroke, every second that passes is critical. As brain tissue and millions of neurons begin to dwindle, time could not be more precious!
A stroke is always an emergency and every minute counts. The sooner the signs are recognized and the patient receives medical treatment, the sooner permanent consequences can be avoided!
Most important symptoms!
- Vision disorder
- Speech and language comprehension disorders
- Paralysis and numbness
- Vertigo and impaired balance
- Sudden severe headache
The FAST-Test verifies the suspicion of a stroke within a very short time!
